Pass It Down

In November of 1984 my dad, Roy Sims, took me on my first deer hunt. It was a parent/child deer hunt on Ossabaw Island. It was on this trip that he passed down the love for hunting and the outdoors. Ever since then I’ve been sharing the love for the outdoors with everyone I knew. It wasn’t until later in life that I realized just how important it is for us to pass down the good to others. This does not only apply to hunting or fishing but in life itself. Over the years I’ve been able to do this by being a Hunter Safety Instructor with GA DNR, Boat and Safety Office for GA DNR, volunteering with state run hunts, taking children on their first hunting trip and simply passing the word. As I look back on some 3 generation hunting pictures I am even more strongly convicted in the importance of “Passing It Down”. N2S will always be a part of organizations that promote this mindset. Just like in nature where the birds fly North to South, we will follow natures lead and PASS IT DOWN! This part of the website is where we would love to hear your stories and see your pictures. Please send us photos and stories of you Passing It Down. Thank you to our customer for helping mankind pass down this wonderful sport of the outdoors and thanks to Dad for planting this seed in my life when I was a child.
